Some of our customers encounter challenges when attempting to relocate their items to our auction rooms for sale. Similarly, after finding the perfect piece for them, some buyers need a little help in getting their purchases home. Over time, we have worked with the best transport providers in the country, and our recommendations are here for you.

PACKING & POSTAGE

Our packing department can arrange packing & postage of smaller purchased items to be sent Australia wide, using Australia Post delivery. We can also pack your items for your preferred chosen courier.

For international buyers & for breakable items, we advise you use Pack and Send.

For all packing and postage needs, please contact Louise for a quote (delphine@scammellauctions.com.au) before paying your invoice as fees will be applied.

**** Alcohol WILL NOT be sent via Australia Post, you will need to arrange your own carrier/courier, Scammells recommends Pack & Send www.packsend.com.au ****

We offer two levels of service –
 
a. Packing – small items are bubble wrapped, boxed and sealed for transport – charge is $23 + GST per half hour block.
This does not include mirrors and art works, which will be wrapped in a single layer of bubble wrap only. (Australia Post do not transport artworks or mirrors).
 
b. Boxed – items are placed in a box without packaging – no charge
 
Insurance and Liability – there is no longer any insurance available to cover breakages during transport, and whilst we take as much care as we can to wrap items, how the parcels are handled once they leave our premises is out of our control and breakages or damages will not be covered.
 
Postage Charges – are based on Australia Post or Courier service charges
 
Postage Materials – At Scammells we strive to reuse all our packing materials. We utilise new boxes to ensure they are structurally sound for our paying pack & post customers, and use excess bubble wrap and paper from deliveries of stock to wrap & pack your goods, keeping our post service as sustainable as possible.
